Topcoat Technologies

Deft's 36 Series Transportation Coatings Series, high performance acrylic polyurethanes, are available with VOC Contents between "zero" and 240 g/l in a full range of colors and glosses. Full line of general industrial and transportation primers and surfacers with the same low VOC contents complement these products. These are exempt solvent-based systems that offer excellent application properties. (300 g/l Deere-Hitachi Topcoat - can be made at zero)

Innovation

Deft's cutting edge technologies remove hazardous air pollutants effectively while increasing productivity. Deft's expertise in low VOC technologies has reduced VOC emissions to the environment by over 3,000,000 punds per year while meeting the high performance requirements of its customers. Over the past several years, 6,000 buses have been repainted with the Deft 36 Series with VOC contents of 240 g/l or less.

09GY024 & 09Y024 PRIMER SURFACER - Light Gray (200 g/l) & Buff Yellow Epoxy Modified Alkyd Polyurethane High Build Primer/Surfacer (340 g/l) Excellent adhesion to most substrates. Fills and sands well

02W052 High Build Epoxy Primer - White, Sandable High Build Epoxy Primer Less than 100 g/l VOC. Excellent adhesion to most substrates and fast dry.

Our unique exempt solvent technologies allow ease of application and repair while given superior coating performance.

Deft offers a rainbow of color options. Our standard 60 degrees specular gloss reading are typical 92-95 units. Because most colors have a 20 degree specular gloss reading around 90 units, our products have a remarkable mirror-like depth of image without clear topcoat requirement. (Below NYCTA - Zero VOC)
